Blue Man Group

They’ve only been around for 25 years and I just got around to seeing the Blue Man Group only yesterday.

I’m very lucky to live in a city where just about every type of show and concert finds its way here.  Admittedly, I don’t take advantage of it as often as I should, but in the past few years, I have made more of an attempt to see Broadway and Off-Broadway Shows, go to concerts, and to enjoy the fun and good times that the arts and music can truly bring.

I want to expose my son to this more as well and he was my inspiration for getting the tickets to see the Blue Man Group.  It was his (day after) Valentine’s Day present.  I didn’t want to get him candy or a stuffed animal or a toy.  He doesn’t need any of that stuff.  So I opted for an experience.  John joined us and we all had… FUN!  I made the right call.  🙂

As for the show itself, it truly is creative and the men are very talented.  As an audience member, it’s easy to get caught in the moment of lights, sounds, color, and laughter, but when you think about it, there’s so much thought that goes on behind the scenes to create a show such as this.  It makes Albert Einstein’s quote fit perfectly  with this post, “Creativity is intelligence having fun.”
